Paradise Island

Thought the Atlantis was too expensive and opted for Comfort Suites which allegedly has guests eligible for no problem access to Atlantis. All we really care about is BEACH.

Any experience...leaving on March 22.

If your concern is primarily beach, why did you choose Paradise Island in particular? So many great beaches in the Caribbean, and Paradise Island is more expensive than many other places with great beaches.

Yeah, you have "no problem" access to Atlantis. And that's where you'll have to go for the beach. You can get beach towels there and lounges too so you don't need to bring much. Bring money though. Atlantis is MUCH more than just a beach though, wait 'til you see it. And you made the right choice staying at the Comfort Suites.

We went to Atlantis a few years ago and loved it, but you're right--it's very expensive. We had thought of staying at Comfort Suites also, but weren't sure. After going, I thought Comfort looked fine and would have stayed there. It's not that far of a walk across to Atlantis and the beach.

Club Med has a beautiful beach and grounds. I really enjoyed my stay in Aug 01.

Atlantis is so big you'll have to walk anyways...better deal at comfort inn. It's only a 5 minute walk and you won't be made to feel like you're second class at the atlantis...you get full priviliges.

Atlantis is expensive and you are smart to stay at a more reasonably priced hotel.

When we stayed at Club Med, down the street, we found we spent a great deal of time at the Atlantis - there was so much to see and do. The aquariams are very impressive and there was comedy clubs, and of course gambling. Keep in mind with the gambling that is Monte Carlo style - not Las Vegas style gambling. To play the Black Jack tables etc., there are minimum bids that, IMO, were high if you are just a casual gambler and not interested in laying down a lot of money.
