Over-Water Bungalows

Does anyone know of any resorts in the Caribbean that have over-water bungalows? The only places I'm finding are in Bora Bora, Tahita, etc. Thank you!

there are some resort accomodations built on stilts but none that I know of that extend out over the water. The ones in the South Pacific do tend to be built on lagoons and protected places. Given storm surges, hurricanes and other weather conditions, it would not be practical to build that way in the Caribbean unless in a very protected area. There are accomodations at Long Bay on Tortola and Little Dix Bay that are built on stilts but back from the water a very short distance. Many years ago there were accomodations over the water at one of the Club Meds on Guadaloupe (La Caravelle) but don't know if they still have them.

sorry, forget that the Bahamas are also included in the Caribbean here. Compass Point has some units that if not over the water are very close.

This exact question was asked a little while back. Seasrch the archives.

Enter "bungalow" in the search box. It'll be the second or third thread that comes up in the search result.
