out island information

i am seeking advise on which island to go to...we have narrowed it down to Eluthera, Cat or Long Island- we want seclusion and easy access to beaches- and are specifically looking for efficiencies or villas-any leads? we are worried Eluthera has become too touristy... what do you think?

I've researched both Cat and Long Island. Had to cancel a trip to Cat last summer. Here are some links that I came up with on Long Island. All are located near Clarence Town on the southern end of the isalnd. Neither is the easiest island to get to.

In reference to Cat Island there have been several posts in the last few months. A search should bring them up.

ebethds, do not worry one bit about Eleuthera being too touristy. Nothing could be farther from the truth. In fact, in the decade since I've discovered it, I've actually seen resorts close down...if anything, it's less touristy than ever. We've stayed in budget, mid range, and luxurious villas there.
Here's the budget property (SeaStar):

Mid range (Finiterre):

A little more upscale:

All 3 villas were directly on the pink sand beach. The last one was the most secluded, but at all we only saw one or two others on the beach, hardly within waving distance, in the 4-6 days we stayed! Can't compare to Cat or LI, since I haven't been there, but I do believe E is more populated. However, it's 100 miles long and filled with empty beaches. Hope this helps!

thanks again RobertoB.
Joan, great to hear that, as Eluthera sems to have more accomodations that fit our criteria. i will keep on the quest.
thanks again!
