One night pre cruise in St. Thomas

We have one night in St. Thomas/St. John before getting on a small 100 passenger cruise.
The Ritz is sold out. We can stay at the Marriott (Frenchman's Reef) for $383 or Caneel Bay for $395 (including b-fast and lunch)+ $85 per person for the transfers to St. John. Or Holiday Inn is only $170.
Which would be the best choice?

Caneel Bay is world famous and it is a great kick-off for your trip. If you'd rather save money, then the Holiday Inn is okay for a place to rest your head. Frenchman's Reef is very nice too, but it is not the adventure that Caneel may be for you.

Thank you. Our flight gets into St. Thomas at 4:20pm. We board our ship the next day in St. Thomas in the afternoon. Is it too much of a hassle to go to St. John's for the night?

Laura,
Although I LOVE St John...I think that it would be too much of a hassle for not even a 24 hour stay.Go back when you can spend a week at Caneel Bay Resort.

My father inlaw stayed at the Frenchman's Reef a few months ago and said that it was nice.I would take Virginia's advice and stay there.

Good luck!

Thank you. Done deal. Will stay at Marriott. And save Caneel for another day.

(We are going on Sea Dream, not Windjammer, www.seadreamyachtclub.com)

Many thanks!

Hello Laura! You might want to look into the CRYSTAL COVE resort on Sapphire beach in St. Thomas. It is a beautiful place and will save you money. The number there is 1-340-775- 6220. It is an Antilles resort and you can get a beautiful room with a beautiful beach view for $225 per night. Beautiful pool also. I hope this helps.
