One-Night Layover in Barbados, Where To Stay?

My boyfriend and I have a one-night layover in Barbados on our way to the Hilton in St. Lucia. Any advice on a decent place to stay, nice and clean, not too expensive, preferably not too far from the airport? We will be traveling the last week of June. Also, any suggestions on fun things to do/see/neat place to shop during our brief stay would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Two properties come to mind that are 15-20 mins from the Airport--Accra Beach Resort, Rockley and Peach & Quiet Suites--in southern area of Barbados. You can get travelers reviews/information/rates at Where2Stay.com
Peach & Quiet is a small property of 22 suites with acres of tropical foliage. You can snorkle right off the beach and swimming is a short walk away. Take a taxi into town for nightlife. A British couple owns this property.
Accra Beach Resort is a larger property--4 Star Hotel with many amenities. Again you can get info as above.
The website for Peach & Quiet is peachandquiet.com. I believe the other is accrabeach. For one night you can't go wrong with either property.
We've done that before. I would suggest Sand Acres or Bougainvillea Beach - closer than the other locations mentioned in the previous post. Sand Acres is older and Bougainvillea is more upscale & the newer "sister" property. You would love that. We've stayed at both several times.

If you should opt for Rockley it's a 20 minute drive to the airport (we own timeshare there at Plumtree Club in Rockley). Accra is nice but much farther down the South Coast than Bougainvillea or Sand Acres.

Thanks so much for all of the suggestions. I looked into all of them and I think I am going with Peach and Quiet since it is only for one night and we will probably be checking in later in the evening as well. Bougainvillea looks great but I'm afraid we won't enough time to enjoy its amenities. Thanks again.
