Ocean Club vs Sands Resort
We need to stay at a resort with a kitchen (our toddler has food allergies). Is one resort considered nicer than the other? Is one in a better location than the other? What is the difference between Ocean Club and Ocean Club West?
Thanks! |
I (and another poster) have asked this same question within the week; click on my name and the thread will show up.
It looks like a great place and both the other poster and I have booked. Mary in D.C. |
Thanks, I'll take a look. Which one did you book?
|
Ocean Club because my husband will golf (the course is right across the street) and we'll use the kids' club which is there, too. But we're walkers so it doesn't sound that far to "West" to go to that restaurant and pool, etc.
Call the 1-800 number, they were super nice (located in Delaware) and are happy to answer lots of questions. Don't know when you are thinking of going, but I know that in our timeframe (March) they are starting to get booked up. Mary |
marymarra....
you can take the free resort shuttle from ocean club to ocean club west...no walking needed... have a great time... |
i forgot to say
clark050405 ...i think ocw is newere by a few years but really the only real difference in ocean clubs is the location...west is closer to some shopping and restaurants...but their resort shuttle will bring you back and forth whenever you want between the resorts... i also think west is set up a little better but that's an opinion thing...they are both basically a half circle of buildings around the pool(s) with the beach being at the open end of the half circle...to me ocean club seems more like a u with the buildings in the back being pretty far from the beach and the back buildings at ocw don't seem as far away from the beach... their website has great maps showing the layout of both resorts... have a great time... |
