Ocean Club or Ocean Club West

Can anyone tell me the difference between these 2 properties and which one I should stay at? My husband and I are going in Jan and RWI and The Alexandra are both booked. The Sands seems like it's good for kids (we're looking for peace and quiet) and has gotten a number of negative reviews. Thanks!

The main difference is age of the buildings. Ocean Club was built a few years earlier than OCW. The floor plans, layout and placment of the buildings, landscaping and pool at both resorts are all very similar. The two resorts are both located on Grace Bay about a mile or so apart and guests can use the facilities at either property. There's a free shuttle bus that runs between the properties. The watersports "beach shack" is located at OC.

Although the T&C's are not my favorite destination I prefer OCW over OC.

Thanks. I think I will go with OC West.

I've never stayed at OC, but have been to OCW three times. It's really a great resort (I think the pools are nicer - don't know about the rooms) and I like the location better because it's a quick walk to Ports of Call where there are some little shops and restaurants. OC is basically at the end of the beach whereas OCW is more centrally located.

kiki1, I asked this question about a week ago; click on my name and the thread will come up. I ended up booking the Ocean Club because my husband will play golf and golf is right across the street and we will use the kids club which is at Ocean Club. But it sounds like it is an easy walk up the beach to West and its beaches and pools (in addition to the shuttle).

Call their 800 number, they are super nice.

My DH and I stayed at Ocean Club a few years ago. We loved the back pool, it was always very quiet. Most kids and families used the front pool by the restaurant/bar.

We loved OC. The food was good, it was very clean, well run place. We did rent a car. It was well worth it.

Peace, Greenie.
