not too expensive, but nice hotel in grenada?

we've decided to spend our honeymoon in grenada. we've booked seven nights at the Spice Island Beach Resort, with a really great deal on luxurylink. (otherwise we could not afford this great place!)

we want to spend a little more time in grenada, since it's our honeymoon and a long flight, so we were looking for a nice hotel that's not too expensive to stay for the first three nights of our trip.

any ideas?

thanks in advance for your help!

Since you're going to spend the better part of your honeymoon in the thick of things at Spice Island (and oh, how nice it looks after Ivan!), why not take the first few days of your vaction to relax and de-stress from your wedding at La Sagesse? It's a small, moderately-priced inn about 30 minutes away from the Grand Anse area, set on a beautiful cove-like beach. Small restaurant on site that serves excellent seafood and pina coladas! www.lasagesse.com I spent two very happy days there this past July.

If you want to stay closer to the action, you could check prices on the Coyaba and the Grenada Grand, both on Grand Anse. They both offer good rates on www.hotels.com.

Or start across the street at Blue Horizon, sister property to Spice.

We got our Spice package on luxurylink too and stayed 2 extra nights at Blue Horizon across the street. It was not Spice Island but very nice for the price they charge. Coyaba suppose to be nice too.It is down the beach from Spice, next resort over. Or you can try Rex Resort near the airport. It has very picturesque bar setting and it is near Aquarium restaurant, which is one of the best on the island. You probably should take advantage of those 3 nights to eat out at different places on the island as when you check in at Spice you will eat most likely all your meals there because it is all inclusive. That what we did. Food on the Island is very good. Enjoy Spice, it is greate, we loved it, one of the best trips we had.

thanks so much for the suggestions!

snubes - how did your luxurylink experience work out? just curious to see if there were any kinks or anything to be cautious about.
