My husband and I sailed on the Norway in Feb '97. We were in a very small inside cabin. It was clean, but not overly "fancy". Others we met with larger cabins were very pleased. The food was good but not exceptional. I have only cruised twice before so please keep this in mind. If you like the older "classic" ships vs. the "neon" of Carnival, then you should like the Norway--we did. Service overall was good. Entertainment was good, especially the "broadway" shows. (this was much better than other ships I've been on) Keep in mind that when you dock, the Norway is too large to actually dock and you must take one of two tenders ashore. This they have down to a fine art so don't fear the hassle. We had early seating and was quite pleased that we did. Our most uncomfortable situation was the dinner table assignment, they are NOT good at placing you with couples of similiar age. If you are not happy, speak up immediately, we did are were moved to a balcony table with two other couples who were great entertainment in themselves. All in all it was a very good vacation and I'm sure you will enjoy.

Heather: Read your reply to the Norway cruise with interest. My wife and
I are taking our first cruise on 12/27/97 on the Norway. we are assigned to cabin A096 an inside cabin on the Atlantic deck. Are you familiar with this area of the ship? Should we opt for a better cabin? We would appreciate any information you may remeber about the cruise. Thanking you in advance Ernie

Ernie: We've been on Norway twice, in late '80s, early '90s. She's a classy grand lady, reminiscent of days when trans-atlantic crossings were fashionable. We stayed in N133 one time and the next time on viking deck, can't remember cabin no. but was exactly same size as N133. both were nice size, but not huge by any means for the three of us, my husband, stepson and me. From the deck plan, looks like yours might be smaller. You might want to talk to our travel agent, or ask NCL directly (www.ncl.com) what the square footage of your particular cabin is, then see if you can live with it. We've always found we spend very little time in the cabin, so it's not really that important to us. Have fun!
