Noordstar Rent A Car in Curacao, or other nonbrands?

Has anyone ever used this agency to rent a car in Curacao or any other agency besides the US biggies (Budget, Alamo, National, etc...)? They are significantly cheaper, but didn't know if there were any reviews out there (I can't find any).

TIA

I've rented from the local car places on every island visit and have never had a problem. Haven't been to Curacao yet but did that on Bonaire and Aruba. Have a great trip!!!

Whichever one you use make sure you get a confirmation with the rate in writing. The rental car company tried to scam us saying they did not have our reservation. They were trying to charge us their walk in rate which was significantly higher than the rate they were charging if booked in advance. Luckily we had their email and after a lot of haggling (waste of time) they gave us the promised rate. I think it was budget but can't remember for sure since it was several years ago.

Is paying in advance for the rental normal in the caribbean? I always give credit card to hold the reservation, but not the whole number until arrival. They want (as does Budget Curacao)want to charge the credit card before arrival.

I've never been asked to pay in advance for car rental....usually they don't even ask for a credit card to hold the reservation.
