I read on the boards the other day someone who got a non-stop flight from NYC to St. Thomas, I can't find the post, but does anyone know of what airlines might have this non stop????? I am traveling to Caneel Bay October 7-12 and WANT a direct flight...thanks.

Continental has a non-stop from Newark to St. Thomas. Leaves around 8:30 am if memory serves, and takes about 2 hours. You then have to take the Caneel Bay boat over to the island.

American has a daily nonstop service from JFK to St Thomas, leaving early in the morning usually around 8pm and the return flight back to NY is around 1pm. Check out the AA website. I live on Tortola and use that service quite often when I travel up to NYC.

Yes Continental does offer nonstop service from Newark to St. Thomas and the flight is 3hours 50 min. However, they only offer this nonstop service I believe on Saturdays. My husband and I are also going to Caneel in October. We are leaving on a Saturday and have a direct flight but we are leaving on the following Friday so we have to take a flight to San Juan and connect to Newark. Hope that helps! Susan

I believe there is a time change by 1 hour which could be why the flight times are different? I can never remember were we had one and were we didnt.

we just did it in june. it's continental from newark to st. thomas. they only fly once a week (tuesdays). the flight is right under 4 hours.

caribtraveler Aug 13th, 2003 09:36 AM

jkurtiak: there's no time change (not from east coast anyway).
