no open-toed shoes at restaurants?

Does anyone know if there's truth to the rumor I've heard that women are not allowed to visit restaurants on Jamaica wearing open-toed shoes? Please say it isn't so...I'm leaving the day after tomorrow and all I'm planning to bring are open-toed shoes!

Have seen that open-toed shoes are not in the dress code for gentlemen at some resorts but never have seen it for women!

Open toed shoes for women are fine...that's all I ever wear. Men are asked to cover the toes when dining in restuarnts that require the men to wear slacks.
