Nevis info please

I have been to St. John and love the hills and curvy roads and also the large trees throughout the island. Is Nevis similar or is it mostly flat with small scrub like trees? Also looking at St. Bart's and wondering how it compares to Nevis in way of beauty of the island.

Hi Cori,
Nevis and St. Kitts both have interesting topography in that they are a mix of relatively flat land with a large mountain.
The roads are not as curving as some on the other islands, and Nevis has one main road that circumvents the island with other small ones that branch off.
It does not have the small scrublike trees of Anguilla or Turks and Caicos.
To me, Nevis is the most beautiful of the islands I have been to. (About 30.)
But it's not for everyone as it's very quiet with not much organied activities, shopping or night life.

Hi Cori,

We honeymooned on St. John and spent our first anniversary on Nevis... we loved both places!

Nevis is very lush and mountainous. It is quiet like St. John but the main town is not as nice. I have not been to St. Barths (only to Anguilla). Teh beaches on Anguilla were way better than on Nevis but the landscape is very flat scrub and not as lush as Nevis.

Nevis has great restaurants and great scenery with lots to do. The only thing you should know is that the beaches are not as spectacular as St. John.
