Greetings, Francophile...we spent a month on Nevis (mid-Nov to mid-Dec), in a villa and couldn't have had a better time on Nevis. Wonderful villa, great people and beautiful beaches...a real, relaxing holiday and cultural experience. Inasfar as mosquitoes go, all tropical areas have them...be prepared, especially at dawn & dusk. Normal precautions, lotions & sprays will keep the critters at bay. Send me an e-mail if you want more information. Cheers, Richard.

Nevis is a fantastic place. Headed there again in two weeks. I own property there. It would be perfect for Christmas. Friendly people, beautiful sites, some good restaurants. Let me know if you need any help with where to stay. Are you thinking of a hotel or villa? There are some really nice villas as well as plantation inns and the Four Seasons Resort. The FS has a great golf course, spa, tennis, on the beach, pools, restaurants, etc.
I am sure you would have a fantastic time!

We just returned from a Nevis vacation six weeks ago. Spectacular views and it was such a pleasure to be there. Very green setting. We stayed at the FS and couldn't get enough of their pools. Great restuarants all around the island and the people are so nice!

You will love Nevis! Breathtaking views, friendly and helpful locals, variety of accommodations. You can also visit sister island, St. Kitts.

A website you might find helpful is www.discover-stkitts-nevis-beaches.com

If you are thinking of visiting Nevis during Xmas/New Years I strongly recommend you book your flights well in advance. Flights at this time fill up quickly.

We went to Nevis last christmas to new years and loved it.
The plantation inns are great, but pricey at that high season. I found a cottage on Nevis1.com called the Seahorse and it was fantastic.
We spent every day at the beach or hiking and barbecuing every night.
The island is so laid back.
Check out Caggy's bar for pizza by the cricket grounds. Nobody seems to know about this gem!!
