We're heading to FS Nevis in seven weeks with 7 and 10 year old. Any must see activities along with restaurant suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

sign up for the complimentary golf course tour. You drive your own cart through a beautiful course, but most people go to see the monkeys that live there. Your kids will love it. It is alot of fun.

We were there a few years ago with our then 7 yr old. We did horsback riding up in the mountains one day and enjoyed it. Also one day on the spur of the moment I paid a fellow in a small motorboat to whisk us over to St. Kitts for lunch. (flying fish traveling with the boat were fun) My wife and I REALLY enjoyed our two meals at Bananas. If it's still there they had good food and fantastic views. The monkeys are fun too when you can find them. Have fun!!

Bananas is there, just in a new location. Oualie Beach is nice for kids and there food is good. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Last year we saw a family that was going on a rainforest hike. Guides are good about customizing a tour that fits your needs. Have fun!
Also, we loved Chip as our taxi driver.

A day trip to St. Kitts is recommended! the kids would love lunch at Turtle Beach.

Also, take a rain forest hike with Jim Johnson of Top to Bottom Tours. It's an easy hike and your kids will love exploring.

Your children might enjoy visits the Admiral Nelson Museum (located in Bath Village) and the Nevis Museum (downtown Charlestown) as well as the the recreated Nevis Village and the Botanical Garden.

For restaurants, take them to Chevy's, Mingles, Pizza Beach, Young's Chinese and Unella's - all pretty casual with food choices most kids will enjoy.

Places of interest are very spread out on the island and taxis will get expensive so if you want to get out an explore all the island has to offer you should budget for a rental car. You'll be glad you did.

Definitely rent a car. A Trave. is correct... Taxis are not cheap and your own car just makes more sense. Cafe de arts in town is good for breakfast and lunch. There is also a new deli, (deli by wendy) which is on the main road, very kid friendly excellent food, fresh bread baked everyday. They serve both full breakfasts and pastries if you want something smaller. Wendy is super and has all kind of fresh local things. Something to do also is pick up food there for a picnic. She makes sandwiches and salads (potato salad is excellent)
Its an easy island with kids because there is not many restrictions on where to take the kids.
I would definitely go to Bananas for dinner. The new building is beautiful. Best food on the island. :) Have a great trip.

Nevis, a brilliant place. You should enjoy just getting there.
Try looking at destinationcaribbean.net click on destinations and click on Nevis and restaurants, activities etc are rated. I loved the Pumphouse but was in with a great crowd anyway.

If you rent a car, do get out and explore when you see a blue road sign, I think they say something like "nevis cultural site" - you never know what you will find, abandoned mills, beautiful vistas. So much fun to explore this way.

Do try to stop at Golden Rock Resort for lunch and a hike on the monkey trail.

If you want some time away from the kids... The Four Season's has a kid's game room (staffed) that offers 5 yr old to teen recreation. There is also an outdoor play-yard for tots. The beach sports of snorkeling and cat boats are great for family fun. During Spring break/ Summer Vacation/ High Seasons, the cabana offers a kids buffet for lunch. And with three beachfront pools, nighttime bonfires, sunset golf cart trains to see the monkeys (maybe), guided rain forest hikes, horseback riding from Hamilton stables, or just exploring the beautiful flowering vegetation on the resort, there's plenty for a family to do.

Do rent a car and spend time taking in Charlestown (don't expect sidewalks in a 400 year old city), tour the sugar plantations, stop by the Newcastle potteryworks... catch a soccer game.

You can also rent a villa with a private pool and yard to stay in. Do your own cooking for the family and still enjoy all (more) of the resort activities. (We love villa 1501 on the hill. Talk about private luxury!) You will need a rental car to do the grocery store hunt. There are three major grocery stores on the island and you never know what they will have in stock so you have to hit them all! Now, that's an adventure in and of itself!
