Negril - snorkeling

Hello we are leaving for Riu, ClubHotel in Negril in 2 weeks. I love to snorkel and am looking for suggestions as to wear to snorkel tours offered in a and around Negril and near by areas. I am also curious if anyone knows any websites that have good trip reports.

If it's not been affected by the proposed development yet, Booby Cay, off Negril, where sea turtles nest, is one good snorkelling spot for a hired boatman to head for...

You`ll see the snorkel trip boats cruising near the resort beaches. You won`t have to look for them. They`ll find you.It seemed to me that they all take you to the same area.We went with Captain Moses and we had a nice time.

Snorkeling is fantastic just below Ricks... you can see 30 feet down and the sights are fantastic.

If you are an avid snorkeler Jamaica is not considered a "top spot" compaired to St. John, Curacao, Little Cayman, Virgin Gorda, etc. But when we were in the Negril area 2 years ago it was fair to good, in my opinion.
