NEGRIL RESORT CHOICES
Going to Negril in two weeks. Has anyone stayed at POINT VILLAGE, CHERELA, or SEASPLASH recently? Please let me know what you think of them.

I love Negril! Point Village has small rocky beaches and is located near Grand Lido and hedonism. To walk the beach you walk through Hedonism. Charela Inn and Seasplash are smaller more intimate hotels. They are both located on 7 mile beach and offer a more lively jamaican atmosphere. Try a meal at TanYa's. Negril Treehouse is also nice and so is Firefly. EMail me if you have any specific questions on [email protected]
Good Luck, have an Irie day Mon.

Linda
Linda:
Many thanks for the reply. I really love Negril too! Stayed at Sea Splash last about 5 or 6 years ago (probably before Point Village was open). It was great then, but I just wasn't sure how the years might have treated it. I'm looking forward to going back and I'm sure I'll have lots to report after the trip.

Thanks again for the note,

Ed

My wife and I loved Point Village. Great accommodations, food, people... The resort is located on 17 acres of lush, natural landscape and about a 10-minute drive from Negril. The beach is small and calm (perfect for snorkeling). There is also a great dive shop. Don't miss the sunset cruise to Rick's café.
Ed,
Do yourself a favor and go to Charela Inn. It's that type of place once you go there you will return. Most of their gusts are repeaters. I was there last September for my Weddingmoon. What a wonderful place. If you go, make sure that you request one of the Oceanview Delux rooms on the 1st floor which is 1 flight up. The views of the beach and sky through the palm trees from your bed are stunning.

I've previously recommended Charela to another travler who thanked me for doing so. I even told her what rooms to request.
