Need your advice about the Bavario Princess in Punta Cana
How does the Bavario Princess compare to the Catalonia?? Has anyone been to the Bavario Princess within the last three months who can tell me about the resort? the rooms (which building to request), the pool, the beach, the service etc.

Stayed at Catalonia before and thought the resort was pretty ,room nice ,food not so great(buffets were not as intense as at some other resorts(several) I've been ,beach was on the poor side(Cabeze de Torro is, IMHO the LEAST nice part of PC,Bavaro beach is the best part!).Now ,I'm a walker ,I walk easily 2,3 hours on the beach(that's what I like about PC beaches ,they continue on... I've seen Bavaro Princess ,I was staying at the Fiesta (great resort , great beach + food too by the way!) - both the resort and the stretch of beach at Bavaro Princess looked great!!! I wouldn't mind to try there sometime myself.Don't know anything about rooms or food though.Good luck.

Hope you don't mind if I throw in a question. We're going in October and are looking at the Fiesta Palace and the Bavaro Princess, also the RIU Palace but I think I prefer the Fiesta and the Princess over the RIU. What are your thoughts on the two reosrts? Which resort within the Fiesta comlex would you recommend?
Thank you in advance for your comments.

arra-Staying at either the Fiesta Palace or the Fiesta Bavaro will give you the privilege of using ALL restaurants in the 4 Fiesta hotels in that one big complex(Palace,Bavaro,Beach, and Club Lookia), Palace rooms are a little nicer than Bavaro's with high ceilings and better furnitures ,the prices are just slight different, but I was happy at the Bavaro too, cause on our second time staying with them the Palace was booked!Anyway I like this company a lot that we're booking to go to their new one year old hotel in the Riviera Maya-the Palladium Grand in August.
By the way , the Rius are great hotel chains too ,but having staying at 3 other Rius in Playa del Carmen , I say they're a class nicer than those Rius in Punta Cana.

Forgot to mention that we prefer Europeans or other types of ethnic food over typical North Americans dishes... so these resorts we like , are more likely catering to an international crowd rather than Americans.Something I'm sure people put in their considerations when choosing a resort.
