Need Romantic Getaway

I like to snorkel, am a beach lover and love good restaurants and SOMe things to do at night. I have already been to many islands...Aruba (never again),Cayman Is., Turks..want to go to one I haven't been to. I have been thinking about Anguilla, Antigua, St. Johns? For two and romantic. Thanks!

what is turks like? have you been to barbados? I am debating between the two. Go to St. Martin - Le Meridien. It is quiet, beautiful and relaxing.I don't know about the snorkeling in St martin, but the restaurants are amazing.

We loved St. John as many other have mentioned that they rent a villa while vacationing there.

Their are lots of gorgeous villas with panoramic views, private pool and all the amenities you can think of.

St. John is just wonderful.

Cap Juluca on Anguilla was the most romantic place we've been. Peter Island was beautiful also. Rent a villa on St. Barts, another favorite, through Wimco.

St. John is wonderful and romantic, and Peter Island offers a romance package that is really nice.

You need to define your idea of "romantic." I read somewhere that the most popular honeymoon destination in the country is Orlando, so there must be loads of people who think that Disneyworld is romantic. I am not in that group. The bottom line is, before you take someone's recommendation for a romantic getaway, you should make sure that you have the same criteria for romance as that person. I have a friend who went to a wedding at Disneyworld and the bride was "given away" by Mickey Mouse instead of her father. That was great for that couple but I am pretty sure that I would not want to be taking advice on romantic destinations from them.

Hi John~ I loved your thoughts on defining expectations and personal desires before requesting advice! Excellent. This ia SO true! Kelly
