Need help deciding
 

I've narrowed down honeymoon choices to three locations: 1. Sandals Dunn's River in Ocho Rios 2. Sandals St. Lucia Golf Resort 3. Rendevouz in St. Lucia. We are interested in a good balance of beach and activities/night life. I know the Sandals properties are always highly rated, but does anyone know anything about Rendevouz? Is the $1000+ price difference worth it?

Randy, <BR> <BR>I did NOT stay at Rendezvous, so this is just my quick impression, but I was not impressed with the looks. It's next to the airport & the grounds weren't as well-maintained as the other resorts we saw. Check out the Wyndham Morgan Bay (we stayed there & loved it) as well as the Windjammer if you'd like St Lucia options that are a little less than Sandals, but still nice resorts. <BR> <BR>Tracey

Thank You for the information Tracey, I will look into the two you mentioned. Your thoughts seem to be with the general concensus regarding the appearance of Rendevouz. <BR>Randy

Do yourself a favor, and avoid Rendezvous. The resort begins where the airport runway ends - literally. The beach is very small, and the water is very rough at that location. It's very difficult to go for a casual swim. Castries is very close, and I recommend being as far from Castries as possible. <BR> <BR>We had trouble finding any nightlife whatsoever around there. You might consider resorts that are North of Castries for more entertainment, and better scenery. <BR> <BR>I'v heard good things about Windham Morgan Bay, and the Sandals Halcyon.
