I think if the only place you can afford to go to is Nassau Beach Hotel for 15 years you certainly can't afford any where decent. Why would anyone choose to go the same place for 15 years especially a so called 3.5 star hotel. I think you need to expand your horizon and try something new. You may think differently, if you've visited a decent place to compare it to. Obviously you are doing your homework. Yes, I am the same person that went to Club Med and found it substandard. Not as substandard as this hotel. You still seem to argue that I didn't visit this hotel. If I didn't visit this hotel how would I know so much about it? No, not all the restaurant with the exception of the pizza chain is located on the beach. The two restaurants are in the front section of the hotel and the breakfast restaurant in the back, along with the beach restaurant. I guess it's very easy to poo poo someone else's experience since your standard of comfort is far below anyone with any travel experience. The maggots were definatley found in my room. I received compensation from my travel company as a result of the substandard conditions. I suggest you do a little more homework and check out with the hotel if you can buy an all inclusive meal plan? They may not offer it in the brochures but I guarantee you can buy it on the side. I think the other readers can come to their own conclusion about this place. FYI, I also posted a response in Cancun. I gave very High marks to Gran Caribe in Cancun. If you are interested? You obviously have too much time on your hands if you can take the time to track my responses on other locations. I still think people would take you more seriously if you posted, at the very least your first name. I wish you the best in your 16th year at this dump. Enjoy.

Mikki, another suggestion would be to try one of the outislands in the Bahamas like Abaco, Eleuthera or my personal favorite Harbour Island. We stay at Runaway Hill (www.runawayhill.com) or you might try Coral Sands, or Romora Bay all are close to the water, and have a pool.

Try the website for Harbour Island www.briland.com for more info or to ask other questions.

It's fairly easy to get there now, you fly into Nassau and take the fast ferry over.

If you decide you want to stay on New Providence (Nassau is the capital located on NP) you might try the Marriott which is next door to the Nassa Beach.

Also I would suggest looking into some of the package deals being offered right now. Since you already have your airfare covered, you might check into some of the specials that Liberty travel is offering right now. They have always done well by us.

Have a great time wherever you decide to go.

Also Compas Point is wonderful, your hubby would enjoy the privacy and the quaintness of the place. The food is great there, one of the best restaurants on island. It's also close enough so you can get downtown, but far enough on the other side of the island to be very quiet at night.

enjoy.
