Nassau Airport
 

Hello! Can you please tell me how much time you need in Nassau to transfer to flights to the Out Islands. If coming from the States and arriving in Nassau at 2pm....is that enough time to make a 3:45 flight to another island? Thank you!

they are building a new international terminal. assuming they have not improved the system to get from international terminal to domestic it would be iffy.(i was there in early nov) be sure to allow extra time on return to states as you will clear customs in nassau - took us about an hour or more in line.
otoh none of our flights within bahamas were even close to on time....

The new international arrivals has not yet been complete.. you have to schlep thru the new departure terminal to the old arrivals area.. go thru bahamian immigration (which can be a pain, since there are usually several flights arriviing in the 1-3pm timeframe) Then pick up your bags at the carousel (which is usually delayed). Go thru bahamian customs, then bring your bags to the inter-bahamas terminal.

Your timing is iffy at best. have a back up plan, number for hotels in nassau etc.

Thanks scuba girl... We changed it up to leave 3 hours btw international and island flights.
Flights between islands we have less time (1 1/2 hours) but think this should be ok as there is no customs involved.
