My Next Caribbean Destination?

So far i've been to the Dominican for all inclusive twice, San Juan, Aruba, and Turks & Caicos. I enjoyed Aruba and T & C the most since you get to roam about the island trying the different restaurants and interacting with the locals not necessarily from the resort you're staying at.

What are other islands where i can do this? I liked Aruba for the more reasonable pricing and variety of restaurants within walking distance of where we stayed. I liked T & C because it seemed more laid back and the crowd seemed more mature.

People that like Turks & Caicos seem to like Anguilla, we have been there twice and LOVE it. ( Not as much as Turks, but our #2 place)

Sounds like you want low key, grown up place to visit that is also thrifty and offers good dining.
Have you ever visited Nassau and Freeport in the Bahamas ?

grand cayman is sort of 1/2 way between aruba & provo. you can stay on seven mile beach & be in the hub bub or rent a villa or condo on the north side for more quiet. plenty of dining options, good snorkeling/diving, some shopping. no casino.

Grand Cayman or 5th Avenue area in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Though not the Caribbean, but Key West, FL for great dining and interacting.

casinos are a plus! and yes, i want grown up, don't want to be surrounded by college students on spring break and i am looking at late march early april.

never been to the bahamas but reading some of the other posts it doesn't seem like a place to rent a car and drive around yourself?

will look into grand cayman. maybe go back to aruba although life is short and i want to see as much as i can.

thanks all

Grand Cayman does not have casinos. It is a very expensive Island. In late March/early April you'll probably have more issues with families and kids than Spring Breakers. It still seems the best choice based on your other criteria.

What can anyone tell me about Nassau and Grand Bahama island?

Which is the better of the two to visit overall? I'd consider things like dining options, the beach, safety, and other things.

How is the weather here in late March? Warm enough to swim? Since it's not much south of Miami...

How is the Grand Lucayan? Is it now the radisson or the sheraton? It looks like it may have changed recently.

Would renting a car be worth it? To explore the island as well as to drive to restaurants and to/from airport? Or will I be able to get by without my own car in Freeport?
