Mustique

Hello. My husband and I want to plan a trip to Mustique, but we do not know much about it. We don't want to stay in a villa, we would rather stay in a hotel. ANy suggestions? Also, restaurants. Thanks!

This is the address for the Mustique official website - http://www.mustique-island.com/

As for hotels - you can choose either Cotton House or Firefly. For restaurants, there's Cotton House or Firefly or Basil's.

There's also a local bar but it really is for locals.

That's it.

What is it that is attracting you to Mustique ?

What is it that you know about Mustique that makes you want to go there ?

Hi! Thanks so much for your response curiousx! The reason we were interested in this island primarily is when we were in St. Barth's, we met a few people who had suggested Mustique to us. Thsy made it sound so fabulous, but I did'nt see too many restaurant listings, and we rather not hire a chef. Can you suggest another island comparable to St. Barth's to us? Thanks again for your help!

I can't make the comparison for you since I have never been to St. Barth's.

But there is a regular contributor called Erma on the Southern Caribbean board at www.traveltalkonline.com who has stayed on both. I suggest you post your question there to her attention.

Also repost on this board making your question more specific and I am sure you will get informed responses from other fodorites. (e.g. 'is Mustique like St. Barth's ?' or 'we like St. Barth's - where else would we like ?')

Mustique is a bit too unreal and perfectly manicured for my taste although I always enjoy my time there (generally sailing en route from Bequia to whereever).

Thank you so very much curiousx! This was my first question out of 2 I have asked since I became a mmber since 11/17/04. I am going to do exactly what you told me on asking the question. Again, I thank you for all of your help! Have a nice day!
