I will be going on a spring break cruise(1998) with a group of approx.45 people on the ms Carousel. This ship was formerly the Nordic Prince owned by RCCL.Size:23,200 tons, passengers 1200 ,owned by Airtours(British company). This particular cruise does the Southern Caribbean-Aruba. to Barbados to St.Lucia to Grenada to Margarita to Curacao to Aruba (7 days).
This ship and cruise has received excellent reviews at travel shows and travel reviews. You can check out information from Sears Travel Service at the following web site: www.sears.ca/travel/carousel.htm.Contact me after April 6,1998 and I can give you my impressions of the ship and the cruise. |
The Sundream is also a former Royal Caribbean ship. It spent many years as the Song of Norway.

My husband and I took a group of our customers on the m.s. Carousel last April. This was our first and only cruise to date so I do not have anything to compare it to. The ship is clean, the staff very friendly, rooms okay. There is so much to say, if you would like to email me and ask certain questions-feel free. If this helps at all -- we are trying to find out if they will run this cruise again next year, our neighbors and ourselves that were on this cruise together would like to do it again. (When you let me know if it is okay to email you I can give you some hard earned pointers on the ports-of-call). Have fun and have a BBC for me!!!

Just returned from a cruise on board the Sundream.
Excellent value. Great staff. Kids had a good time. Food was good. Lots to do. On board bar prices steep. No pressure to purchase anything on board. The transfer from airport to ship was about 40 mins. Did not take any excursions, but feed back from others revceived good reviews. Will do it again on their other ship out of Aruba. |
Just returned from a cruise on the Carousel. It was our first cruise and we loved it! Would definitely recommend it, food and entertainment was great. If you would like anymore info e-mail me. Val

Neil, I can guarantee you that you are going to have a magnificent time aboard the MS Carousel. We have been on Carnival cruises, RCCl and Norwegian. This ship is not as glitzy as the others, but for the money, you'll get you're moneys worth. We just got back from our cruise one month ago, I would do it again tomorrow. Please e-mail me so I can give you a list of excursions that we did. But you need to sign up for them ASAP 'cause they fill up fast.
The ship holds approx. 1200 passengers, you get unbelievable service from the staff. Food is not as good as on the other lines, but again, for the money, you won't walk away from the dinner table hungry. The morning breakfasts at the pool have something to be desired, runny scrambled eggs!!! YUCK!! This is the only negative thing that I can actually report. If you have questions, feel free to fire away at me VIA e-mail. If I don't talk with you, have a great trip. Pam |
Hi, Agree with previous postings about the Carousel
especially breakfast poolside! Do yourself a favor and have breakfast in the dining room, on our trip they did not even have a toaster for toast or bagels. Ohher aspects of the trip were good. E-mail me for more tips if you like. Harriet |
We are going on the Sundream with a other couples on Mar. 15 and would love info re ports of calls, shopping, beaches, and clothing for dinners.
Thanks. |
