Most Romantic/Beautiful Villa

Looking for a awesome place to stay for our honeymoon in 2002. I have heard that St. Johns villas are hard to beat? Any suggestions on particular places of honeymoon bliss??

Thanks

I stayed at Orchid Hill and it was beautiful..very conducive to a honeymoon. It is not super luxurious but it has an awesome pool and sundeck with a jacuzzi ,outdoor shower, absolutely amazing views from every room and the grounds are incredibly maintained.Take a look at Vacationvistas.com..I cannot say enough great things about this house. It was also very reasonably priced and an easy 10 minute drive to cruz bay and 20 minutes to the north shore beaches..You will not be disapointed..Good Luck

Check out cateredto.com
We have used them 2x - very happy. we loved "belle view". I would recommend staying either northshore or Great Cruz Bay

Look into St. Barths. My husband and I went to Negril, Jamaica for our honeymoon and then we went to St. Barth a year later...a world of difference. It is a PERFECT honeymoon spot if you're looking for wonderful beaches, restaurants and small but quaint hotels. It's a very sexy, non-Americanized paradise without commercialization.

Oceanfront on a perfect beach is what I'm looking for our honeymoon in the summer of 02. Any suggestions?

I tried the www.cova.com link suggested above and it didn't seem to have any info about villas! Help!

These villa suggestions sound lovely. Can anyone speak to security issues with the villas. Are there safes? Are break-ins a problem? To me, that is the only thing keeping me from renting a villa.

I have rented a villa the past 2 years in St John and never felt unsafe. Of course I wouldn't leave a rolex lying around but both villas I rented had safes and we did use them for cash, etc.
Most of the villas are in really nice residential neighborhoods away from the
crowds. I stayed in Chocolate Hole and the North shore and both areas were quiet and the only people we saw were the gardeners and other villa renters. Use common sense though and lock your doors and don't leave valuables lying out in the open.
I must say though after having a villa vacation I don't know if I would ever go back to a resort or hotel. We pretend the whole week that we own the house and just have the greatest time. It is important though to find a really great house it makes all the difference in the world. This year we weren't very happy with the villa and it did put a damper on things but when you have an awesome house with your own pool, incredible views , a beautiful grounds..there's nothing like it.
Good luck!!
