More Anguilla questsions

Im sorry guys but I'm one of those anal travlers that has to know it all before I get there.(or at least most of it :). Thus a few more question please......

1. When arriving by ferry, what part of the island do you arrive at?

2. How far is that from Shoal Bay by car for a newbie?

3. From the ferry and on the way to SB, which market would be the best to stop at for snacks, lunch meats, bread, BEER, WINE, RUM, soda and such? :)

4.On Easter Sunday would one expect to find any restaurants/beach bars open on SB?

5. Wondering if there is anything special ("local") that we might enjoy being part of or witnessing?

6. Any particular restaurants or bars offer music or entertainment on specific days that would be considered a "dont miss" for a newbie? The "localer" the better for us!!

Thanks guys! I'll own you all one after this trip. My wife and I are ffortunate in that we have traveled alot but we are REALLY excited about this particular trip!!

You'll arrive at Blowing Point (slightly southwest of the mid-point along the southern shore) which is about 5 or 6 miles from Shoal Bay which is on the opposite side (northern shore) of the island.

On your way to Shoal Bay, you'll pass through The Valley. thre's a fairly large grocery store right in the center of town.

Easter on AXA will be like Easter in most locales, some restaurants/beach bars will be open other will be closed.

For music check out Dune Preserve and perhaps Silly Cay.

For "local events" check out the sailboat races on Easter Monday.

Just wanted to add that Smokeys has music on Saturday afternoon, and sunday night.
Qwens at shoal bay has a band on Sunday afernoon, Johnnos
on Sandy Ground has jazz also on Sunday afternoon, ditto
The Dune. All have a mix of locals and tourists. Veya may
still have a Jazzz type singer on Tuesday night--Scilly Cay
may still have Sprocka on Wednesdays--and not sure what
band they have on Sundays. Reggae Reef has Sprocka on Wed. night---
Music schedules change---
