Not really. The only thing I would say is that you might not want to be clear over on the Atlantic side of the island since most things are on the Caribbean side. However, if you have a car it doesn't really matter.

That vrbo.com property is in town and very convenient to most everything, including the beach.

Forgot to add...on Saba I think that Windwardside is the best area to stay in since it's not advisable to rent a car there. Most everything for tourist is in Windwardside.

I can recommend a great place to stay there if you are interested. Affordable place with the self catering comforts of home and a great view.

Let me know, that sounds great, just remember it's two adults & two very small children 3 & 3 months although the 3 yr. old is well traveled.

The place on Saba is Cottage Club. One room cottages with all necessary ammenities. They very well might provide you with a crib for the baby since the owners have two children themselves. There is a lot of uphill walking on Saba, though, so bear that in mind. Nothing too strenuous, but it might be if you are carrying two children.

Also, please note that the photos on their website really don't do the place justice. I recommended Cottage Club to another Fodorite recently and she was very pleased.

If you talk to Sandy (owner), tell her that her friends on Statia sent you. I can also recommend guided tours, restaurants, a small spa, and just about anything else over there since it's small and we visit a couple times a year.

I'm assuming you're in Paris? If so, lucky you! One of our favorite cities.

My heart is always in Paris, alas I reside in Charlotte, NC. My moniker is merely wishful thinking on my part.

Where is my head? You'd already mentioned that, hadn't you? I guess I have just always thought you resided in Paris from seeing your screen name on the Europe forum.

hey SAnParis
i know i am probably a bit late to spare a few good words about montserrat. we recently saw a movie called "forces of nature" which was mainly filmed on montserrat. as we were planning to visit the island on our trip through the caribbean, we came across a very nice acommodation. coincidentally, the owner is a film maker and did a lot of the work for the movie we watched.

I am continuing to mull this over & have been in contact w/the folks @ Gingerbread Hill on the island. They have been most helpful & informative. W/the new airport now open, it appears to be fairly inexpensive to get over there. Anymore info out there from the masses, since I will need to visit via Antigua ?
