Montpelier Inn or Coconut Grove??

My husband and I are traveling to Nevis in late June and we have just one night to enjoy a restaurant away from the Four Seasons resort. Listed here are our choices... we're going on a company-sponsored trip so I need to pick from this list. Thank you for any advice. This is our first trip here and we are excited...especially after reading many of the other posts.

Montpelier Inn
Coconut Grove Restaurant
The Hermitage
The Cooperage at Old Manor Estate
Mount Nevis Hotel Restaurant
Bananas Bistro

Thank you!!!!!

I would go with Montpelier. We've stayed there twice in the past three years and the food is wonderful. You can either make reservations on the terrace or in the mill. The mill is very romantic, but the terrace has views of St. Kitts.

Bananas Bistro has very good food and is a blast to get to with great views also, but the food and service at Montpelier is second to none.

I don't recommend Coconut Grove, but lots of people really enjoy it. Just personal preference.

But, dang, only one night away from the FS? Maybe you could break out for lunch? Or breakfast? Montpelier serves a great breakfast as do some of the other inns.

Have fun.

I agree with the choice of Montpelier--it's the whole package--ambience, gracious service, terrific food.

If you have time for only 1 meal away from the Four Seasons and you want to have the best dining experience on the island make reservations at Montpelier. Ask if they are serving in the Mill and if so that's where you'll want to dine if you are seeking a romantic dinner. If the Mill is booked or if they are not serving in there the evening you are planning to go DON'T WORRY the second most romantic dining spot on Nevis is on the Montpelier Terrace (I actually prefer dining here as you get a terrific "open air" feeling while still enjoying the excellent service and food.

The other restaurants, while good in their own right, are not in the same class as Montpelier.

Thank you all so much for your responses. I think it's definitely going to be the Montpelier. Now I'm really looking forward to our trip!!!
