Montego Bay or Punta Cana??
We are a family of 10, ages range from 12-70. Looking for an all-inclusive stay President's Weekend from Philadelphia. Has anyone been to both destinations? Interests range from golf, fishing, spa, nightlife (3 are aged 20,22 and 25) and 1 adult that CANNOT be still for any length of time. Any suggestions would be great.

For price, RIU in Negril. Or a villa anywhere on island EXCEPT MoBay or Ochi.
Neither MoBay nor Punta Cana are the best of your options. All of our villas for 10 are already booked far ahead for that week. See JAVA, the Jamaican villa association Web site. Bargain-lovers flock to Punta Cana; but from personal experience I'd never recommned any place in the DR except the SAMANNA PENINSULA smaller European-run guesthouses . In MoBay, outside The Ritz, Tryall or Roundhill offer good packages for golfers/active multi-generational families. |
the DR doesn't have much outside the resorts so the person who can't sit still may get bored. Why not try a cruise or something like that?

I'll add Half Moon to tiv's list of resorts near MoBay that will have things to do for all....they've got golf, horseback riding, 3 or 4 beaches with watersports...
