Montego Bay - Dining

Hello -

I am traveling to Montego Bay for a portion of my honeymoon this December. We are staying at the Ritz and I was hoping to find some great restaurants in the area that I could set up reservations at ahead of time. Any suggestions for this or any other actvities for that matter would be appreciated as this is both of our first trip to the area. Thanks.

Try THE HOUSEBOAT GRILLE on a real boat
moored in the cruiseship port in MoBay/about 15 min.from Ritz. TAPAS in Bogue also good. CAFE AKBAR across from Doctor's Cave is good for lunch on Indian fare if you're in area. Dinner and dancing at ROUND HILL can be sweet
if real retro. GLISTENING WATERS in Falmouth is casual fun, bioluminescent
waters. Don't expect 'fine dining' Ritz-stle -- or pricing.

Try Margarettes by the Sea and also the Townhouse Restaurant.

For a good meal on "the strip", we really like The Native's lobster- the regular lobster, but would NOT recommend the Lobster Thermidor. They put green peppers in the Lobster Thermidor (I couldn't believe it!) and it totally overwhelmed the delicate and rich taste of the lobster-which as I said was very good alone. The atmosphere is wonderful, if a little busy and noisy, part of it's charm. IRIE! *IG
