mobay hotel recommendation
 

Could anyone help me with a recommendation of a good clean hotel in montego bay that's not right on the hip strip. We will only be staying for one night in mobay before heading to ocho rios.

Do not stay at Sunset Beach Resort and Spa. It is on a private peninsula - 15 mins from the strip. Sounds like a place that would suit your needs....BUT IT'S NOT. This resort is rated 4 star but it is more like a 2 star. It is run-down and generally HORRIBLE. Opt for the Decameron instead.

El Greco would work. It's up on Queens Drive but has an overpass to a tall building on the hip strip so you just walk over and take the elevator down (if you want to go to the beach or eat out or whatever).

Very clean, nice large modern suites, pool, quiet. I think you can get a 1BR suite for around $100.

Wyndham Rose Hall is right outside of Mo Bay. It's very deluxe.
