Mixed Reviews/Nervous About Honeymoon Sandals/St.Lucia
We are going to Sandals St. Lucia Golf Resort and Spa for our Honeymoon (4/21/02) for ten days and already paid the trip off.
After reading some reviews we are getting mixed feelings on how nice the resort actually is. I hope we made the right decision. Any info would help. Thanks

Don't give too much weight to reviews from anonymous sources on the web. (Everyone is anonymous whether they list a name and email address or not) There are many differing opinions about what nice is, one person heaven is another ones hell. Almost anywhere you go, there will be some things you may not like. Experienced travellers have learned how to quickly resolve and/or adapt to those inevitable situations. Have a great honeymoon!

We found the resort to be one of the best we have been to. The food was great the staff very nice and our room was beautiful. The resort is very large and the pools are very spacious. You have alot of great resturants to choose from also. I have pictures if you are intrested I will email them to you if interested , I also have an excursion sheet of tours and things to see and do. I will email it to you also.

We vacationed at Sandals St. Lucia Gold Resort & Spa a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it. Lovely pool areas and absolute gorgeous views. We also have vacationed at Sandals Antigua and Royal Bahemian and St. Lucia was our favorite! Have a great trip.

My husband and I went there for a romantic vacation last February and had a BALL. We had a ton of activities available when we wanted to participate, or solitude when we wanted that. All of the food was great! They have a really special white-gloved service restaurant that servces a great filet and yummy deserts! Hope this helps.

Just got back from Sandals St.Lucia Golf & Spa. We took our three married daughters & their husbands over New Years. It's a very lovely resort. We would go back again. We had honeymoon grand luxe beachfront rooms. Don't worry you made the right decision. If you have any questions I'll be glad to answer. Just e-mail me

My wife and I went to Sandals St. Lucia in July of 2001. We had a wonderful time. Everything was great there. We stayed in the cheapest rooms and still had a great time. The only drawback that we had was the size of the resort. We stayed at Sandals Ocho Rios the year before and loved it because of its size (10 acres) compared to St. Lucia (215 acres). You will love St. Lucia. It is a great place. You pick a great honeymoon spot. Email me if you have any questions.

Hello Jim and Gina
I just posted a message asking the exact same question you did, but didn't know until I read yours. Were leaving May 5-12. I am so excited about what everyone said about your trip, that means we will also have the best time. We haven't paid anything yet but I think I'm ready to commit! These forums always help me make up my mind, and I never regret asking for advice. Congradulations, and have the time of your life!
