Meals advice @ Atlantis

They have a huge buffet at the MarketPlace where your children should be able to find something. It's not cheap--$40 for adults. The Atlas Bar and Grille or Murray's Deli probably have things your kids would like at a reasonable price. Walk across the street to Anthony's Caribbean Grille also. For a great dinner without the kids, we love Villa D'Este at the Atlantis. We have found we spend much LESS money when we don't get the meal plan. Lunches--grab something at Shark Bites, the Cave or the Lagoon Bar and Grille--prices are not bad at any of them. .

I just got back from the Atlantis yesterday and ate at Mama Loos, Fathoms, and Villa D'Este. Villa D'este was my favorite - the baby Osso Bucco was excellent, as was the fresh mozzarella and tomato appetizer. Mama Loos was also very good (Chinese food). I was disappointed with Fathoms. The atmosphere was not what I expected - it was very large and VERY loud - it's a cave-like setting and there is a lot of echoing. I was also disappointed with my entree (Salmon Wellington - not very good at all). Not worth the $$.

The Bahamian Club and the Five Twins looked very nice but I did not try either of them.

For dinner with the kids, Atlas Bar and Grill (I went there for lunch one day) has a good menu at reasonable prices.

I did notice, though, that even the gourmet restaurants had a lot of kids. If you're looking for a romantic dinner - you may want to try Five Twins as kids under 12 are not permitted (the restaurant was closed Sunday and Monday when I was there).

We just got back from Atlantis on Friday. We didn't have dinner at any of the restaurants in Atlantis because we wanted either to dine with an ocean view or have Bahamian food. We did have dinner at Dune at the Ocean Club and loved it. Shark bites is great for children as is Anthony's across the street from Atlantis. It's fairly inexpensive and its menu rnages from sandwiches to seafood.
