Me and 13 year old daughter
I'd like to go somewhere that''s good for me and my daughter. We might bring along one of her friends.
would seem that an all inclusive, secure place, a la club med would be ideal, no? But am open to suggestion. We've been to Club Med, without a friend, and she didn't like Club Med as she's introverted, but with a friend I think it would be an entirely different story. But what else besides Club Med? thanks, J |
I took my 14 yr old daughter to Negril and she loved it. We stayed at Coco LaPalm - great location, great local restaurants, plenty of shopping on the beach. We never had to get in a car the whole week.

Windjammer Barefoot Cruises has a Junior Jammer program for the summer. From the reviews I've read children and teens seem to enjoy very much. Have never been on one with children only adults so cannot personally give an opinion. The Legacy sails out of Miami which doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get to.

Something jumped out at me from your post - that is "secure place" - not sure what you mean by that.
If you are just speaking of an AI, that is one thing. But don't make the mistake of relaxing your normal parental radar and letting your young teenager become free range just because the property is all inclusive. When we were on a cruise last year it would have been incredibly easy for our then 14 year old daughter to get served alcohol, for example. What about a cruise - might be less expensive than an AI and many have teen programs. |
Check out http://www.BEYC.com , as we spent two weeks here last summer. My 14 year old daughter brought a friend and they had a blast. Tons of water activites for the kids, and adults.Food was also very good.
