Marriage Requirement Question....

Can anyone tell me someplace in the Caribbean that has no restrictions on how long you have to be on the island in order to get married?

I have a friend that wants to get married, but wants to show up and have the ceremony w/o having to wait.

Thanks a bunch to all with any information.

Nancy

Alot will depend on where your friend is from, i.e. US, Europe, Canada, South America, etc.). If your friend is a US citizen he/she can easily get married in Puerto Rico or any of the US Virgin Islands without any wait requirement. For most of the other Caribbean Islands the "wait time" can vary from 3 to 7 days.

Thanks for the response. She is from the US. I will suggest your ideas to her.

Thanks again...

nancy. even in the usvi you cannot just show up like vegas. they will need to contact the island and submit some basic paperwork before trip. once on island you pick up your license at govt. office and then you're good to go.
