Hi, <BR> we are looking into a week vacation in March somewhere in the Caribbean. I have been to St.Thomas and Martinique. We are looking for a combination of good quiet beaches to swim and snorkle as well as opportunity to do some hiking or touring around the island. For great beaches, St. John USVI or Anguilla will not be beaten. Either of these islands would offer you a variety of island tours. In addition, St. John is ferry linked to the British Virgins for day trips and Anguilla to St. Martin and St. Barts so your options are endless. If you are looking for a small quiet hotel on a bautiful beach consider Barrymore Beach Club, Runaway Bay, Antigua. You can have an apartment with patio, living room, dining area, kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom which gives you the freedom of dining out or eating in. Have you thought of St. Kitts? There are plenty of quiet beaches, and undeveloped areas. There are rainforest hikes and hikes up to the volcano (dormant). There are some great snorkelling spots on the southern beaches. Let me know if you want more info on St. Kitts. We loved it! <BR>

I suggest Frenchmans Cay Resort on Tortola BVI. http://www.frenchmans.com March is still in high season in the Caribbean. If you can wait until after April 16 rates start going down all over. However, the 7 day package for 2 persons at $2,399 including auto, most meals and tax plus gratuity (17-18percent in most areas) is a real value. There is a lot to explore in the BVI and you can easily take a ferry to St. Thomas for shopping. Trips to such places such as the Baths on Virgin Gorda would be very enjoyable for you. If you run a topic search for Frenchmans Cay for BVI you can find a lot more info. If your budget can reach $5,000 to $6,000 for the week, I have a lot of other suggestions.
