Have any of you used the Luxury Link that advertise on this site? Is it safe?

You can do a search here for previous posts that address this issue. I personally have used Luxury Link on two occasions for travel to the Caribbean and have been quite satisfied. My step daughter and her boyfriend used it twice. The first time they didn't read all of the "fine print" and were a bit disappointed. The second time they were more familiar with the auction set up and were quite pleased.

Be sure you're familiar with the style of auction you're bidding on or buying. Set a limit so that you don't get caught up in a bidding war. Read the description carefully so you know EXACTLY what is included and what is not. And it's a good idea to contact the resort ahead of time if you want to travel within a specific time range to make sure they have ample availability for the dates you need.

There are a few posters here who have regularly used LuxLink and have been satisfied.

I ahve used LL for Vieques, Barbuda and Turks and Caicos twice. Never had a problem. Definitely an up scale site

OOPS !! Forgot Jamaica In in Ocho Rios--six nights with breakfast and dinner for $1200

I also used it for Jamaica Inn and was quite pleased.

I have to agree with you though it's a wonderfully relaxing place!

HowardC we didn't use LuxuryLink and we didn't do AI and our total charge (food, drink and room) came to slightly less than $1200 but you have to allow for the fact that I don't do breakfast so our charge was 6 (1x6)breakfasts, 6 (2x3)lunches and 12 (2x6)of the most wonderful 5 course dinners we have ever had on vacation.

We didn't intend to eat at the JI all the time but the atmosphere is so good and it really is nice to 'dress' for dinner.

We have recommended it to my In-laws and I know they'll love it but JI will have to wait until after their trip to NZ :-)

We have purchased a number of accomodations through Luxury Link auctions and have always been very pleased. I'll echo ejcrowe's post: read carefully so that you know exactly what you're bidding on. You will find that Luxury Link guests get treated exactly the same as other guests, so not to worry. We found out about Luxury Link when we went to a resort in Fiji (at the rack rate) and learned that a couple staying in the cottage next to ours had purchased through Luxury Link at about half the price.

We have used LL on numerous occasions, in fact we're leaving for Ladera in a week.

We paid $1600 for 7 nights including one dinner in a deluxe suite...the question is will it reappear on LL now it has been voted the best hotel in the Carribean and given the highest score of any hotel in the latest Conde Naste readers' poll?

I agree with the above advice...you need to pay attention to the terms and conditioins, some offers have very restrictive dates, and if possible you should check available dates directly with the hotel. I planned to use the Ladera stay in April/May but even though it was low season I found they were fully booked for three months! It was my mistake I presumed and didn't check before I bid. Make sure you check the previous winning bids and do be careful it can be a little addictive.

LL has worked very well for us but we have alot of flexibility. I've used it for hotel stays in Mexico, the US, Prague and Venice.
