Luxury Link
Tell me about your experience with them...good, bad, details. Thanks!
|
Have used them a couple of times for 2 Caribbean resorts. They will email you once the auction closes if you have the 'winning' bid. You then contact the property directly to reserve your stay. My experiences have only been very positive.

Ours have been positive too. Great way to save some $$$ on a luxury vacation. Go for it!

Do you call the hotel before bidding to see if they're available on dates you want? If so, what do you tell them? Do you just ask if there's rooms available, or do you tell them you will be reserving thru a luxury link package?
|
We have used them twice and each time I checked with the property to see if space was open during the general period we were interested in. I did not mention Luxury Link and I don't know if this would have made any difference. I don't think there is anyway to have assurance that there will be an opening on the exact dates desired if specific dates are not mentioned in the offering other than the short span between your call and the time the auction closes. It is best to be in a position to be a little flexible on dates. It is however certain that space is being offered to boost sparse bookings. If you are successful, you are notified of the exact person to contact for reservations. Warning: Once they collect your bid -- Luxury Link is done. Your dealings now are entirely with the property and Luxury Link is not responcible to my knowledge for their actions. Thus it is best to be familiar with the property you are bidding on. I also believe that Luxury Link may take 45 days to forward your payment to the property. You might find with some properties that it is difficult to book space before they receive funds.

We have made the very best experiences with "luxlink", doing business "both" ways, selling and buying. You'll deal with very friendly, highly professional people!
