Luxury Commedations/No Children
 

My hubby and I would like to take one last romantic luxury getaway to a resort on the beach anywhere in the Carribbean where no children are allowed, since we plan on starting a family soon. Any suggestions?

We loved Secrets Capri (south of cancun). The place is so well run, no kids, great rooms, very good food, nice beach. And best of all...no kids!

Would love to go back.

Children are allowed at Cap Juluca.

Check out Royal Hideaway in Playa del Carmen, Mexico (just south of Cancun.) The service and food were fabulous. The beach and rooms were both very nice. There wasn't much nightlife to speak of since it was more geared to romance and couples.

Enjoy whatever you choose! Once you start your family, you'll be glad you had that special alone time with your husband!

It depends when you plan to go, but during most of the high season, Cap Juluca in Anguilla limits children. Check with them for details, because I think they only allow them in the larger villas at certain times, which mean there may be a few, but not many at all. There are children during the holidays, though.

Marcci B; What changes at Biras Creek?? I am interested. I asked the General Mgr. and he said ownership was NOT changing and inferred 1 or 2 local resort changes, I thought maybe the Gen. Mgr. but I heard it was that desirable before it should alone be equal or better.
I hope so, we are going in Dec, and leaving by 12/20 when children will come for family holiday vacations.
But, please share what you heard. I did follow up based on a brief mention in Travel Leisure's April issue but that may have been inaccurate or hear-say.

We've been to Royal Hideaway twice and love it!!! Thinking about St. Barts although no one has mentioned it so far....

St. Barth's is truly an upscale island and there are several very posh resorts (Eden Rock, Guanahani, Le Toiny, Carl Gustav & Isle de France to name a few) but you did specify "no children" and none of those hotels has a no children policy. St. Barth's is a terrific island with scores of great restaurants, lots of trendy shops, all types of watersports and some excellent beaches. Personally I wouldn't worry too much about children at any of those resorts because while they do allow them you won't find them overrun with the "wee ones".
