Looking for beach resort in P.R. in Feb.

Hi. My wife and 6 yo are looking for an all-inclusive beach resort in Feb 2003 and are considering Pueto rico since our friends suggested going there instead of Florida. Also, is it 'beach weather" in Feb.? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Cerromar Beach west of San Juan will deliver what you want, including a great river ride/drift pool for the kid. Nice beach, golf if you like it.
Temp should be mid/upper 80s, with water warmer than it should have any reason to be, meaning you can get in and stay in.
Only fly in the ointment is the all inclusive part. Not sure there are any in PR. Hope others can help here.

My husband and I took our young son to Palmas del Mar in Humacao. They have a 3 mile beach, lots of pools, restaurants, golf courses and even a small casino. It's about 45 minutes from San Juan.

You can choose either the Candalero Hotel or they also have villas Palmas del Mar. I think you can get breakfast included, but the villas have kitchens so it's easier to have the kids along.

If I remember correctly the Crescent Beach rooms are right on the beach.

http://www.palmasresort.com/

February will be fine.

I would suggest the Hyatt Cerromar in Dorado, the Wyndham El Conquistador in Fajardo, or the Westin Rio Mar in Rio Grande.

It's "beach weather" all year long in PR. I don't think you'll be able to find an all-inclusive - at least, I haven't heard of any. Depending on price range and what kind of vacation you're looking for, there are many options available in PR.

I know this is an older post but are there any other smaller hotels, anyone would recommend right on the beach. We need to go in Jan/Feb. The ones usually mentioned are out of our price range. I just want a safe clean area, with a nice beach. We will have a car. Thanks.
