Looking for a honeymoon destination!
We are looking for a honeymoon destination for June 2003. Does anyone have a favorite place to recommend. Thanks!
|
Definitely Sandals!! Just kidding!

I would recommend St.John
|
Yes. I live on Roatan part time, and it has beautiful beaches, great restaurants, hotels, excellent diving and snorkeling and it's not as "commercial" as many other places.
|
I am just curious...where or what it Roatan?? I have heard of it before but don't know anything about it...sounds nice.

Hyatt Aruba is a FANTASTIC spot for a honeymoon. It is beautiful and the service was great, being on your honeymoon they will treat you accordingly!

My husband and I honeymooned at the Jalousie Hilton on St. Lucia in August of 2001. It was absolutely wonderful---our room with plunge pool was heavenly. This is the place for you if you enjoy staying in one place and enjoying the lush surroundings and day-long beach lounging. You CAN do various tours but we found the resort too nice to leave. We regret not staying longer.

Roatan is in the Bay Islands off of Honduras.
One resort I know of is Fantasy Island Resort.

Are you looking for a developed island with large hotels or a very uncommercialized destination which is very quiet and laid back?
The great majority of my clients go to Jamaica, the Mayan Riviera or St. Lucia or Aruba partly because these are the easiest to get to without 2 or more plane changes.
They also go to Hawaii and Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic.
It all depends on your budget, lifestyle and interests.
Tahita or Fiji are also wonderful destinations.
I also did a Honeymoon to Australia this year. Your choices are endless.
Obviously, I specialize in Honeymoons.

My wife and I were married on beautiful St John 2 years ago. It was paradise to us. We rented a villa and found it to be much more private and romantic than any hotel. However, if you still prefer a resort then Caneel Bay would be the place. Understated luxury.

A suggestion would be is to peruse the many villa sites and you will find that a villa comes out to be a lot less.

Some to look at:

vacationvista.com
lime-coconut.com
destinationstjohn.com

These sites are a good start. Congratulations!!!!

Just our opinion!!!!!
