Lodging with a kitchen

Would like to know the nicest place to stay in Anguilla that's oceanfront, yet has a kitchen/kitchenette? It's only for two people.

Have you looked at Cove Castles? It has two-bedroom "Beach House" units, but you can rent one as a one-bedroom. It is on Shoal Bay West. Cap Juluca has private villas on the beach, but they are intended for more than two people. (That isn't to say two people couldn't rent one.) I think they are three, four, and five-bedroom villas. You won't find many villas on the beach as the government has reserved beachfront property for resorts. There are, however, a few apartments on the beach. If Cove Castles feels a litle pricey (you didn't say whether price was a consideration), Serenity, Carimar, and RendezVous Bay are resorts on the beach with kitchen units. There are probably others in that price category.

At Shoal Bay Beach east there is Ku' and Shoal Bay villas. Ku has had some packages on www.luxurylink.com on the auction site. We are staying there in Dec. Don't know when you are planning to go but there is also Turtles Nest on Meads Bay. Construction of the second phase ongoing but is supposed to be finished by Dec

The Ferryboat Inn has nice apartments and a small beach. It is very reasonable.

We stayed at the Mandearaim beach club on Shoal bay east and loved it. It was casual but right on the beach.
