Little Dix bay

Has anyone out there ever stayed at Little dix bay in Vigin Gorda? My wife and I are interested in a quiet romantic getaway with lots of snorkeling, massages, walking.

I stayed nearby on Virgin Gorda and stopped by to check out little dix. For what it's worth, the resort grounds were very beautiful. The beach was particularly nice. You can catch a boat to the Baths or any number of other great snorkeling spots and if you rent a car from Speedy's you can drive to other great beaches and yet more snorkeling spots. Check out Biras as well. It's more rustic and a little less expensive than little dix, but also very nice and relaxing.

We just returned from Little Dix - wonderful place for families with small children, but we wouldn't go back for a quiet romantic "just the two of us" vacation!

I agree that Biras would be a good choice as would Peter Island, both in the BVI

ScubaMom: My wife and I are going to LittleDixBay and leaving tomorrow! I've checked out your website with the pix, thanks, but I'm a little worried about your comments on it not being a good place for a romantic vacation--this is our 15th anniversary, so i'm hoping it's special...we're doing a spa pkg and staying in a premium cottage, so hopefully we'll still have a nice romantic getaway...

If you are in a Premium Cottage then you might be on the "quiet" end of the beach. Let us know how your trip went!

Well, sadly we are back from our wonderful vacation at Little Dix Bay. We had room 35 which was a cottage just steps away from the beach. I was a little worried about the location at first and had a chance to switch to room 109 on the other side of the resort, but like the proximity to the beach with this room. It turned out to be a great choice! Maybe it was just the time of the year, but it was very quite and peaceful. Very few children that I noticed. Always very quiet in the evenings. Enjoyed the snorkeling and the beach drop we did next to the Baths--had a great picnic lunch and snorkeling there. My wife and I had spa treatments each day and they were excellent. I had a massage the first two days followed by a facial and a stone massage and my wife did a couple massages, a body scrub and a stone massage. Food was pretty good as well. All in all, an incredibly relaxing time and I just wish i had a few more days....
