layover in Puerto Rico
We have a 5 hour layover in Puerto Rico with three young children, can anyobe suggest a place to go to pass the time
Thank YOu |
It depends on how "young" your children are but with 5 hours you have time to visit the El Morro fortress in Old San Juan (about a 20 to 30 minute taxi ride from the airport). You could also go to the El San Juan Hotel or Intercontinental Hotel for lunch and a stroll on the beach (both are only a 10 to 15 minute ride from the airport). What ever you decide be sure to allow plenty of time to get back to the airport. Getting through security can be lengthy at SJU - the lines get long in the afternoon, especially on weekends. Remember you outbound flight will begin boarding 30 minutes priod to scheduled departure so factor that into your layover time.

There is in old san Juan now, a 1 1/2 hour land sea tour call captain duck.

You got some replies in your other thread.
Please post day/time of your layover. Traffic varies signifiantly near the airport and it needs to be considered. |
Have lunch at the El Convento hotel (a renovated convent) in Old San Juan and then tour around the old streets. It's so charming.
