Labor Day Weekend in Turks & Caicos

I booked 3 nights at Royal West Indies for Labor Day Weekend to celebrate my 60th birthday alone with my husband. Since are we are flying back home Monday afternoon, I was hoping we can leave the hotel early in the morning for a little touring around including a peak at Chalk Sound on the way to the airport. Will be reasonable a car rental for one day, or hire a car with driver, or taxi?

Car is cheapest. Taxi will cost more. Grace Bay Car rentals you can leave car at airport.

Extend your trip, 3 days is not enough!

Thank you blamona, I see a lot of valuable information and advice in all your replies. And I wish I can follow this one on extending our stay, but I can't :(
I will contact Grace Bay Care to reserve the car in advance. I am thinking in only one day, it looks like we can walk from RWI to several nice places to eat. Is that correct?

Yes you can, but here's the catch: taxi from airport to RWI 1 way is price of a character car. Price back same. That's 2 days. Might as well do all 3

We just got back from Turks and Caicos a few days ago. I agree with blamona re rental car. A one-day rental (for small car) was $51.67 total. To ride a shuttle to your hotel from the airport is $20 per person plus tip. Same price to ride shuttle back to airport.

Enjoy your trip! T&C is so beautiful!

Base on the forum advice and my own research, we will definitely rent a car for all 3 days. Thanks a lot to all, any other advice will be very much appreciated.
