Ku v. Rendezvous Bay

Two people for a romantic trip in November. Any suggestions/preferences?

I did it again. We are going to Anguilla.

I stayed at SHoal Bay Beach Hotel that has now become Ku. Although I realize that the property has undergone some updating, the footprint of the rooms remains the same. It is on a lovely beach but lacks the private expanse of beach and lovely views of St. Martin that RBH enjoys.

At Ku the bedrooms are in the back...at RBH you sleep and awake oceanfront.

I can't comment on current staff at KU, but believe that Bart and his staff at RBH are among the best in the Caribbean :-)

One strong vote for RBH :-)

Have been to Anguilla 20+ times Rendezvous Bay is quite nice and Bart is a great guy but we have never stayed there. Restaurant is quite good. They have just completed part of a renovation of the older units I believe (Not the Villas). That said I would opt for Ku'. Have seen it since they completed the renovation and it's lovely. Super pool three steps from the beach and good restaurant, There is a little more "Actities" beach bar/restaurants on Shoal Bay East. Snorkeling from the beach is pretty good. Most of the best restaurants are on the west end so you will want a car. Check out www.luxurylink.com. Ku' has an auction package on that site. I won one and we are going in early Dec. Ku' also has a small spa and exercise facility. It is run by the Cap Juluca management company and the staff that I met were very nice. Also check out www.anguillaforum.com for Ku'comments
