Just returned from the Caymans.Heres some tips.
It was awesome.
The best snorkelling from shore: Eden Rock and Cemetery Reef.
The best snorkelling tour: Stingray City trip
we went with Soto's Cruises $15ci with coupon
The best place to eat for your money:Chicken Chicken, great food
Heres the best tip of all: use the bus its only $1.50ci for most trips, save alot of money on cab fares
We stayed at the Marriott and the beach was fine and the rooms are big, we will stay there again.
Skip Hell and Turtle Farm but if you go use the bus you won't feel so bad not paying a big cab fare.
Well got to go have to plan my trip for next year to the Caymans.

Hi Misha, this will be our first trip to the Caymans this May and we are facing the same dilemna on where to stay. I have asked around quite a bit for recommendations and I always am told that the top three to stay at are the Westin, Marriott and Hyatt. I have heard real postive things about the Westin and Marriott in particular. The Westin is supposed to be the very best there, but when we called for price quotes, they are also the most expensive. The least expensive room that the Westin has is at $270/night compared to the Marriott at $209. I don't know if the extra money is worth it, so we'll most likely stay at the Marriott.
Let me know what you folks decide.
Good luck!

Beach at the Westin is far superior to the beach at the Marriott if that is a consideration. Hyatt is across the road from the beach - their new building on the beach is extremely pricey and the beach is very tiny.
