Please send me your trip notes. My husband and I are planning a trip but I can't decide where to go.

Suzanne Nov 27th, 2000 09:27 AM

Lee-Trying to decide if we want to saty at the Comfort Inn next to the Atlantis. Would really love a copy of your trip notes. Thank you!

Thanks for your offer of the notes. I will be staying at the Atlantis in March of 2001 with my family. Are the beach tower rooms ok? Could you please send me your notes? Thanks!

we plan to stay at the nassau beach hotel - any advice? how are the rooms, are there any cheap meal plans and/or close by places to eat that are inexpensive. also, are there evening shows? can we snorkel off the beach? what water sports are included?

thanks for your help!

Hi there,
Did you ever think you'd have this much business? I'd also like a copy of your trip notes.

We are planning a 5/2001 trip to Nassau, and a travel agent recommended Cable Beach. We have the option for a 5, 7 or 9 day trip. Would 5 be too short? Would 7 be "just about right"? I've spent 9 days in Hawaii and 7 in Myrtle Beach and loved both trips.

We are considering the Nassau Beach Hotel. We are looking at the more economical rooms, probably not facing the water, which is ok with us, but I've read a little on the web that those rooms sometimes have complaints from patrons. Is there a good US hotel comparison (is it like a Best Western, Holiday Inn, or something more upscale.)

How much are meals in and around the area? Is there a variety of inexpensive places to eat within walking distance, and is taxiing about ok? Looks like it's a fair bit to rent a car and would like to avoid that if possible. Is it fair to say we could enjoy the night life (such as clubs) and walk back to the hotel, or would that be too far?

We would also like to scuba dive 2 or three times if you have any experience with that. Have you ever taking the motorscooters around? Does it seem safe?

Thanks for your help.

Ronda

No, I never thought that this question would get so many responses!

I'd like to answer your questions, but it would be easier if you emailed me, especially if you want any copies of our trip notes. I can attach the notes to the reply and I normally don't check this site very often, but email every day (when in town).

Thank you.
My family of 4 will arrive in Nassau May 2001 at Nassau Beach Hotel for 6 nights 7 days. The internet has me a little shaky about this hotel. Do anybody have any experienced ideas or suggestions? What can you suggest for my sons ages 8 and 12 to explore? Ideas on: snorkeling, conch, cataraman cruises, pink sand on Harbour Island but, most importantly THE HOTEL. Open to receive any email notes and suggestions although, I purchased the very informative Fodor's the Bahamas 2001. A must buy for first time travelers but, we still need that IN PERSON, FOOT ON ACTUAL SAND PERSONS OPINION!!! (HAHA) HEEELLLLLPPPPP!!!!

If copies of your Nassau trip notes are still available, I would appreciate a copy. Thanks.

My wife and I are planning a 3 night trip to Bahamas in JAn or Feb. and are thinking about staying at the Sheraton Grand-Paradise Island. Any feedback from anyone who's been there recently ?

Thanks

I too, am traveling by cruiseship to Nassau for a short day 7-2. Is it wise to walk to Paradise Island or attempt to go to a beach nearby and do some shopping. We are traveling w/11 & 15 yo girls.

Would love a copy of your trip notes as we will be staying at Atlantis on 01/28.

Thanks.

Lee,
I am going to Nassau on Jan 29. Just found this message board and your posting. I hope its not to late to have you email me your trip notes. I would be very grateful. Thanks.

Robert Jan 21st, 2001 10:32 AM

Michelle; In that short time, don't walk to Paradise Island from the cruise ship dock area...too far. Hint: By the docks there is a small ferry boat that will take you across the waters to PI for only a couple bucks per person; maybe a little more. It will take you there in minutes, and the boatsmen give you a neat guided tour of famous houses, history, etc., on the way. On PI, you can walk to the Atlantis or any other hotel beaches in a few minutes. The tour of Atlantis would be interesting in that short of time. The ferry boat will take you back to the docks as well. Just ask around in the dock area, and the locals will steer you to the ferry. Robert

Lee
Would love a copy of your trip notes. We are planning a vacation in Nov 2001. I think we are going to stay at the Radisson on cable beach. If anyone has been there since they did the renovations in 1999 I would love to hear from you too.

Would love to stay at Atlantis but can't because my husband and I need our 3 young kids to stay in room with us. I doubt I could swing the expense of two rooms at this resort, I don't really know, I haven't priced it. But can you tell me, do you know of any resorts that will allow 5 in a room, and what exactly can we still do at Atlantis if we have to end up booking another resort? Can we still spend the day at their facility and see everything (pool areas, slides, kids pool, aquarium, etc.) Would love some good advice. Thanks.

Lisa Jan 23rd, 2001 10:52 AM

Hotels do not allow 5 people in one room. Check with your travel agent and they will let you know about the tours at the Atlantis. Think that is just what you get a tour and not use of the facilities.

Great of you to share your notes Lee! Could I get on the list? How was the weather? We leave for Atlantis with our 2 boys 3&9 in 3 weeks. I can't wait!!!!

Diane Jan 24th, 2001 10:59 AM

We are going in March & would love a copy of your travel notes. We will be there only one day so what are the best sights to see?

Bonson Jan 24th, 2001 01:10 PM
