No offense Alex but it wasn’t the first time I’ve heard people refer to the north part as flat and desert-like. I think people might get turned off by that and therefore, may not visit it. In fact I had heard that before I left so I was expecting to be kind of bummed out. I was pleasantly surprised at how hilly and green it was and the beautiful rock cliffs that line the sea. Plus, the north part has more nightlife, shopping, and restaurants to choose from, if that’s what you’re into. More than likely, less rain too.

Mary, the problem is that people are comparing the north to the south. The rainforests of the Amazon basin are flat and desert-like compared to the south side of St. Lucia. The north is beautiful when compares to most "other" places.

Jeff, I understand your point, but nonetheless, the terms "flat" and "desert-like" are definitely incorrect and misleading. (Sorry for rambling - just had to get that off my chest).

Hi Alex! I forgot to ask what you thought of the rooms and the bathrooms at Le Sport. I had seen critics say that the rooms and the bathrooms seemed a bit run-down, but that was before their renovations. We are considering their cheapest rooms (Luxury) and I was wondering if these were renovated at all.

We stayed in the Grand Luxury Oceanfront room. Both the room and bathroom were in excellent shape. It looked like it had been recently renovated. I didn't see any of the other rooms, sorry.
